Urdu Speaking Union (Mauritius)

In order to seek the support of the government to pursue the good work, members of the National Urdu Institute made a request to the authorities concerned in February 2002 to establish an Urdu Speaking Union which was duly granted. Hence the USU Act of Parliament came into force on the 26^th of November 2002 after the approval of the President of the Republic on the 10^th of December 2002.
