The Conference with theme “The Relevance of Urdu in the Globalised World” was splendidly, successfully and smoothly carried out from 26th to 28th Nov 2015 at the Indira Gandhi Centre for Indian Culture, Phoenix. The organisation of same was praised at all levels. 30 scholars from different countries namely India, Pakistan, Egypt and Germany were present on the occasion. The opening Ceremony was held on 26th November 2015 whereby we had the privileged and honour to have The President of the Republic of Mauritius, Her Excellency,Mrs Ameenah Gurrib Fakim, GCSK, CSK, PhD, as our Chief Guest. The Minister of Arts and Culture, Hon Santaram Baboo, The High Commissioner of India, H.E. Mr Anup Kumar Mudgal, Deputy Head of Mission, High Commission of Pakistan, Mr Ahmad Nadeem Mustapha, amongst others were also present.
