The Annual Urdu Competitions organised jointly by Urdu Speaking Union and the National Urdu Institute at national level was held on 17th, 18th and 26th of March 2015. Competitions namely Story Telling, Dictation & Essay Writing, Poem Recitation, Penmanship, Sketch, Letter Writing, Debate and Bait Bazi were organized for primary and secondary level. The competitions were held at the Islamic Cultural Centre, Port Louis and Shrimati Indira Gandhi SSS, Quartier Militaire. Altogether, 760 students took part this year.
